NOVEMBER CHARITY SPECIAL NOTE - Do you have something you've been working on for one of our PHXMQG charities? Great! Bring it with you to the November meeting so we can distribute all of your lovely work in time for the holidays and brighten someone's day! So round up those orphan blocks, tops, and completed projects and bring them to our November meeting.

What is Turn A New Leaf? They are a nonprofit organization, providing a broad spectrum of support services to help individuals and families in crisis.

  • Vulnerable families receive emergency help and life-changing programs for a new start – transforming their lives to become thriving members of the community. Their successes include employment, healthier lifestyles, high school diplomas / GEDs, college degrees, life skills and proud self-sufficiency.

  • A New Leaf is a recognized leader in crisis and family services with 30+ program sites Valley wide – from foster care to children's behavioral health services to financial literacy. 

What they'd like:  Linens (pillow cases & quilts), Hygiene Products (handmade zipper bags)

Jewish Family and Children's Service of Arizona: A nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to strengthening the community through quality behavioral health and social services to children, families and adults.


What they'd like:  Lap quilts (40" x 50/60") for Elderly Shut ins services by JFCS social workers;  Small decorative quilts about 12" x 12" for distribution in holiday bags for same recipients.  Miscellaneous handmade items for holiday bags.

One*n*Ten. serves LGBTQ youth in a variety of ways to “enhance their lives by providing empowering social and service programs that promote self‐expression, self‐acceptance, leadership development and healthy life choices.” One*n*Ten has requested twin sized quilts that would go to LGBTQ youth in need as part of their housing program.


Ask: 14.5" log cabin blocks, (center is a 2.5” solid; please use 2.5" wide low volume white or off white fabrics with a variety of solids, see picture); kits may be available!
